Meghan Markle Has Revealed Her Due Date

Meghan Markle visits Birkenhead on January 14, 2019.

There were stories about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry emerging all weekend—though, at this point, that's practically a given. Meghan's bodyguard of six months is leaving the job! Meghan and Harry reportedly skipped Kate Middleton's birthday party! Meghan and Harry's new Windsor home is undergoing $3.8 million worth of renovations!

Now it's Monday morning and we have a new Sussex news item to drive the royal-related discussion (for the near future, at least), as Meghan revealed, during the Sussexes' day of appearances in Birkenhead, that she is six months pregnant. According to People, Meghan told a group gathered in Hamilton Square that she is due in late April.

Meghan's due date had become something of a looming mystery, as the Palace had only confirmed, back when the announcement was made, that she was due in "spring of 2019." In December, when she appeared with Kate, William, and Harry for Christmas Day services, she told well-wishers, "We're nearly there," which had the prognosticators wondering if she might give birth as early as March. It now appears likely that "Baby Sussex" will have a birthday close to those of his cousins Prince Louis (April 23) and Princess Charlotte (May 2). She told the crowd today that she and Harry do not know if they're having a boy or girl, as they are keeping it a "surprise."

Meanwhile, Meghan—wearing a vibrant red Sentaler coat and a purple dress from Babaton by Aritzia—turned down coffee during the appearance today due to her pregnancy, opting for mint tea instead.
